Executive Director - Mike Rud

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mike Rud and I am a native North Dakotan. The Rud family has been involved in the gas business for the past 90 years, so I grew up pumping gas, washing car windows and toting cases of oil. I earned a graduate degree in mass communications from NDSU in 1987. I spent the next ten years as a broadcast journalist. In 1997, I became part of the retail gas business again, partnering to build a convenience store in Minot. Several years later, we built another store in Garrison, where my family resides today.

My careers have allowed me to make many contacts and establish lasting professional relationships across North Dakota. I look forward to representing your industry. I bring a unique perspective to this position, because I know first-hand the issues confronting the petroleum, propane and retail industries. I know the challenges will be many, but my enthusiasm and passion for what you do is great. I will fight hard for your causes.
